Play Max Belkin Dual-Band Wireless N Router: Maximum speed and performance!Looking for maximum speed and performance for heavy media applications? Found! For this Belkin N router uses two frequency bands simultaneously and is Dual-Band, 2.4 GHz: Perfect for data and web traffic and sharing files and photos, 5 GHz: Perfect for streaming media and games! The seciaal mounted antennas and MIMO technology ensure the best range for demanding applications at home, and a continuous signal makes the network available at all times to all users and applications. Talking about applications, this Belkin has quite a few apps. Music Mover is such an app that lets you play MP3s from your music on your stereo, wirelessly. Connect an external hard drive containing your music to the router. Then stream your music from your computer to your stereo via a device like the Xbox 360 ® or PlayStation ® 3. Music Labeler is an app that automatically scans more than 40 million songs on the internet and so finds title, artist and genre for all your tracks. Hear it! Printing something is still never been easier. You just connect a compatible printer to the Belkin router, and press PRINT GENIE to print wirelessly, from anywhere in the house, away from all computers on the network. Self-Healing is an app that automatically detects and resolves problems, and routinely performs scans to deliver you the best possible wireless channel. If you should look at something you’ll get a message on the screen. And that’s a lot easier than flashing lights hidden somewhere under a desk! TORRENT GENIE is an app that allows your downloads to continue if you turn the computer off or in hibernation. When you return, that large files are fully downloaded and ready for use!

So Torrent Genie carries on downloading when the computer is swiched off, so how large a file can be downloaded? Does this have a hard drive then? Does this router keep an account of what has been downloaded on a daily basis?

looking at the specs, this doesnt have an inbuilt modem, so this router is gonna require a separate ADSL modem if you want to use this for broadband…which means another box to add to the spaghetti trail, and another power supply to cater for…. |
